Why did you decide to go into medicine?
My mother is a nurse practitioner, so I grew up listening to medical tales around the dinner table, which is what originally sparked my interest in medicine. Initially I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I learned over the years I had a stronger desire to help people. I started shadowing doctors and PA’s in my hometown and feel even more in love with the medical profession. I am able to fill my eager mind with endless learning and enjoy the different challenges I face every day. But ultimately, medicine allows me to fulfill my biggest passion, helping others
To me, treating people like family means…
Taking the time to listen, whether that means stepping away from my computer to fully engage in conversation or going over the appointment time to make sure issues are addressed and fully investigated. I want my patients to know that I genuinely care about their needs and will do anything in my power to help them
One thing I can’t live without:
My family, friends and cat named Frankie!
Favorite sports team:
Go Bills!
