Getting to know you!

When did you decide to go into medicine?

When I was in high school my uncle was diagnosed with kidney cancer. It was the first real exposure I had with medicine and I was able to see the scientific aspects which interested me. It also showed me that there is another side of medicine which involves caring for people and helping them. Service was a big part of my upbringing and medicine offered a great way to continue helping people in the community
