When did you decide to go into medicine?

I enjoy learning about the complexities of the human body and the way that physical changes overlap with emotional, social, and mental changes.  I love to help people understand the ways that the body systems are interconnected.  Medicine offers a beautiful mix between scientific understanding and compassionate care.

To me, treating people well means…

Listening to them carefully, taking the time to understand people and make them feel welcome, and making treatment decisions together with the patient.

Gardening, painting, drawing, and reading.
